Artist Bio

Ellie is a musician, producer, and touring sound engineer whose work sits at the intersection of atmospheric songwriting and deep technical craft.

Classically trained from a young age, Ellie studied french horn, piano, and orchestral percussion at Aylesbury Music Centre before continuing her studies at Trinity Music College. A growing fascination with sound itself—how it moves, bends, and fills a room—led her to City University, where she completed a music degree with a strong focus on sound and music technology. Alongside this, she continued piano studies at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama and explored non-Western traditions through Gamelan performance.

While at university, Ellie began producing and recording her own music, skills that ran parallel to a rapidly developing career as a live sound engineer. After graduating, she split her time between performing and touring internationally as a sound engineer for bands and artists.

Years on the road eventually pulled her back to songwriting. Scaling down her touring work, Ellie returned to the studio to focus on her own releases, debuting with the EP October (2015). Since 2016, she has performed regularly with her band across London venues and festivals including Lechlade and Daxtonbury.

Her debut album Twelve (2017) was nominated for Best Concept Album at the 2018 Interactive Media Awards. In 2019, Ellie released Near & Far, a four-track fully animated EP blending atmospheric textures, angular melodies, and richly layered harmonies.

In 2022, Ellie embarked on her first performance tour, supporting Avawaves on their UK run and playing venues including Bristol Beacon and Omeara, London. The tour marked a turning point: adapting her material from solo performances to a full band across the tour proved demanding but deeply rewarding, and cemented her desire to tour more extensively with her own band.

Ellie has recently completed her second album, Lost In Stereo, and is currently preparing for its release — speakers at the ready.
